Forest Floor

Really just a piece of forest floor. Actually not even forest, but the green strip to the side of a footpath in Hamburg which I used to walk often back then. I was just starting to practice realistic painting, and the arrangement of those logs between the leaves struck me a nice composition, so I took a picture, went home, and proceeded to spend uncounted evenings painting this. Nowadays, I use oil paints for this kind of motive, but I didn't know any better at the time.
